General Announcements:
*LIBRARY WEEK. Scholars should bring library books back to renew or check in their books.
*Early release Friday 9/16.
*We will begin Prince Caspian on Thursday 9/22 (The week after this upcoming week). Please acquire your scholar's copy of the text by that day.
Grammar: Adjectives & diagramming. Adverb and adjective quiz Friday.
Writing: Key word outlines and procedural texts.
Spalding: Continue spelling list Q. Spelling words 2x for homework each night. Spelling test Friday.
Literature: Finishing Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Study guide will go out Friday for a final assessment Monday 9/19.
History: Constitution unit assessment Tuesday. We will begin the Medieval unit on Wednesday!
Math: Multiplication with bar models and factors. From Ms. Yates: In this chapter, students’ understanding about multiplication and division is broadened to a conceptualization of multiplication as comparison. This week, they will examine how to find factors and common factors. Many concepts in this chapter are challenging for students who struggle with number sense. All students benefit greatly from daily math fluency practice throughout the year as they are entering into the world of multi-digit multiplication and division.
Students will have a mini quiz on Thursday, consisting of 2 problems.
